Illuminated Boats
This was an event scheduled for Sunday Evening. Tim and Roberta had arrived for the rally with their recently acquired narrow boat "Inchy". They had already spent time in equipping "Inchy" with a great light display and flags. During the day Anthony and Harry supplied extra lights and two cannons Anthony had made earlier. Tim worked hard throughout the day (lights are his passion), sorry Roberta, to transform "Inchy" into a spectacular light show. The evening fell, Tim Captain along with Roberta as crew and Harry on top in full Nelson Uniform, entered the light parade. After much cheering and clapping, OCC were awarded a further 5 points towards the Amber shield. Problems after parade, "Inchy" was facing the wrong way to get back to her mooring and there was no space to reverse or turn. Out of the night came Terry in "Orton Lady" to raft "Inchy" back safely to her mooring ( Thanks Terry).
The other problem was that our photographer, Helen, was having problems with the camera. So apologise for lack of pictures. If anyone has any of the illuminated boats, please forward to me harry@occlub.co.uk
